Twine


Twine is a strong thread or string composed of two or more smaller strands or yarns twisted together. More generally, the term can be applied to any thin cord. Natural fibers used for making twine include cotton, sisal, jute, hemp, henequen, and coir. A variety of synthetic fibers may also be used.

- as a clothes line
- binding bales in a baler
- binding small parcels
- gloves made out of wrapped twine in Muay Thai
- making Net (device)|nets
- the tying of lashing knot|lashings
- whipped rope|whipping the end of a rope
- a toy for a pet cat
