Sculptured

Sculptured is an United States|American experimental heavy metal music|heavy metal band, mixing classic death metal|death and doom metal riffs and vocals to atonal segments and unexpected brass instrument|brass sections.

Biography

Sculptured's unusual style is particularly evident on the first track of ''Apollo Ends'', "Washing My Hands of It." The band also introduces European classical music|classical orchestrations in some of its pieces. The history and fate of Sculptured is inherently related to that of another folk metal|folk/doom metal band, Agalloch. With the release of ''Ashes Against the Grain'' in August 2006, the future of the band was quite uncertain. Sculptured then confirmed their third album was in the process of being recorded."News Update - Myspace Blog" February-December, 2006. A new full-length album entitled ''Embodiment (Sculptured album)|Embodiment'' has been released through The End Records.
