Degree, in the sense of measurement, is used to indicate:
- positive|Positive degree ("good"), comparative|Comparative degree ("better") and superlative|superlative degree ("best")
- Severity of similar crimes (in some jurisdictions) — for example first degree murder
- Intensity of a Burn (injury)|burn (from ''first degree'' to ''third degree'')
- Level of kinship (consanguinity)
- Level of Invention|Degree of inventiveness in inventions and patents
- Degree of separation in connectivity between groups
- Degree proof, the proof or alcohol content of a liquid measured in Degrees (0-175° in the UK, 0-200° in the USA).
