Petronia is the name of a genus of sparrows, also known as '''rock sparrows''' There are five species:
- Yellow-spotted Petronia ''Petronia pyrgita''
- Chestnut-shouldered Petronia ''Petronia xanthocollis'' (also sometimes known as Yellow-throated Sparrow)
- Yellow-throated Petronia ''Petronia superciliaris''
- Bush Petronia ''Petronia dentata''
- Rock Sparrow ''Petronia petronia'' Pale Rockfinch is sometimes referred to as Pale Rock Sparrow; it is, however, in a genus of its own, Carpospiza. Category:Passeridae Category:Genera of birds
