JURIST


JURIST is an online legal news service hosted by the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, powered by a staff of more than 40 law students working in Pittsburgh and other US locations under the direction of founding Publisher & Editor-in-Chief Professor Bernard Hibbitts, Executive Director Abigail Salisbury, Research Director Jaclyn Belczyk, and Technical Director Jeremiah Lee. It features continuously-updated US and international legal news researched and reported in real time. JURIST also provides expert commentary, key primary documents and video. In March 2008 JURIST was nominated for a Webby Award as best Law website. The site won the Webby People's Voice Award in 2006. Other distinctions and awards include the 2008 W3 Silver Award (Law and Legal Services) and recognition by the ABA Journal in its 2007 Top 100 list of "the best Web sites by lawyers, for lawyers". JURIST won a W3 Gold Award (Law and Legal Services) in 2006. JURIST is provided as a public service and is completely non-commercial.
